LCCA to put Lionel Archive online for members as LCCA 50th Anniversary gift

Neat perk from  the LCCA. the info will be beneficial.

What a wonderful gift.  I am a big fan of Lionell catalogs, and of the shelves are getting full of paper so this will help.

Yes indeed, the access to such a breadth of info is a very well thought 50th anniversary gift by the LCCA to its members.

The HSL Lionel Digital archive is now live on the LCCA site. To use it you must first log on at the the LCCA website - www.lionelcollectors.org . Then, in the members only area select digital publications and scroll down a bit and you'll see the eleven archives that are now available to all LCCA members. There is also a video posted on the home page in which John Holtmann takes you on a guided tour of the archive and demonstrates many of its features. If you are not a member of the LCCA, you can view this video on the home page and you can click a link at the upper left to join the club. An electronic membership is only $25.00, or pay $39 for regular membership and receive printed copies of our two magazines - The Lion Roars and The Interchange Track.

Access to this giant archive is LCCA's 50th Anniversary gift to our members. I'm sure you'll find it a valuable resource.

I am very pleased to be a part of this arrangement with the Lionel Collectors Club of America!  Over the last several years I have regularly received queries such as “do you still have any HSL Lionel Digital Archives that you can sell?”, “can I get a copy somewhere else?”, “I just bought a new laptop but it does not have a CD/DVD drive”, …   Not only does this new arrangement take care of all of these issues but, by residing with the LCCA on their servers, the HSL Lionel Digital Archives will have a permanent home for current and future generations of Lionel enthusiasts!  Plus you are now able to view the archives on iPads or any other tablet-type device that can access the internet – from anywhere you have an internet connection!

I purchased a few of the HSL products and always lamented the fact I never got them all... until now!  As RT said above, a great BIG thanks to everyone involved for making these great reference materials available.

Will these be downloadable especially the HSL Lionel Digital Archives?

The eleven HSL archives are now part of the LCCA members only website. THe LCCA purchased all rights to these from HSL, Inc. It is possible to print any page, but it is not possible to download an entire archive. You must view the archive from the LCCA site - www.lionelcollectors.org and you must be a member to do so. Membership is as inexpensive as $25.00/year for a digital membership. When John Holtmann was selling these archives several years ago, the cost to purchase all eleven would have been over $500.00. Other than the annual membership fee, there is no charge to view them.

Do  you know if the Lionel Catalog Archive can be download?

The LCCA archive listed above has been available to LCCA members for some time. The February 2021 issue of The Lion Roars announced the addition of the Ives archive and the Prewar American Flyer 1907-1937 archive. Later this quarter the Prewar Gilbert years and a complete file of Toy Trains Magazine will be added. It is possible to print any page, but it is not possible to download an entire archive. You must view the archive from the LCCA site - www.lionelcollectors.org and you must be a member to do so. Membership is as inexpensive as $25.00/year for a digital membership.

The LCCA is quite a bargain for $25 too.  Lionel catalogs sent to the house, a wealth of information on the site, and access to the Lionel warehouse sale (one of my favorites).

Here you go:   The $25 is for Electronic (digital ) membership

There's an initial $10 initiation fee.  So up front $35.   (well worth it just for the archives)
