I'm seriously considering changing to GarGraves track, but of course things are never so simple. I currently use RealTrax and MTH signals. I hate to change all my trackside signals.

What trackside signals do you use? Someone mentioned Azatrax. Could I wire a MTH signal into one of their IR detectors and get it to work?

Any other thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I use it, along with Ross and the now-defunct Curtis and ROW - all similar. My favorite.

Just make sure you paint it; nothing ruins a nice Hi-Rail layout like 50's-bumper-chrome-looking rails; I don't know how the guys who do this can't see it - great scenery and RS and locos and buildings - and then that Silver Surfer track. Yow.

I spray mine with hardware store camo brown flat before I lay it, then sanding-block the railheads the next day. Most real track I see here in the Southeast is something like a warm black-brown anyway. It can vary by region, soil, ballast type, weather.
