Heeeeealll Yeah!

A good time to be had by all.  And lots of great things around Strasburg, both train related and not.

Strasburg is a fantastic RR hub of High Iron destinations made even more complete three times a year with the 0 scale train show.

Strasburg is home to the National TCA headquarters which houses the history of model trains, literature and display layouts. Right next door is one of the largest present day collections of cabeese in which you can spend the night.

The Choo Choo Barn & hobby shop with a decent sized traditional gauge layout next to the PA museum.

Not to be missed is the PA State Museum 100,000 square foot indoor collection  of some of the most note worthy 1:1 examples of RR development  over the years.  Plus acres of out door engines and equipment spread around a beautiful TT.

Of course the star of the location is the fully functioning Strasburg Steam RR.   Come and smash the few pennies you will have left over from the train show/swap meet under live steam.

So arrive early and soak in a weekend of RR enjoyment.  After the Strasburg fire house 0 scale show there are hundreds of outlet shops for stalwart shoppers.

This may not be Chicago;    BUT they get a good crowd with 2 rail scalers looking to  build buy and improve the models. Usually lots of fair priced models and parts.  Along with some really friendly folks.   For you 3 rail folks some of it does show up with plenty of super detailing layout stuff, and 3 railing a 2 rail car is not to hard at all.

Not to mention all the great things available around here.  I'm Italian so Food is top of the list , shopping,  Site seeing, TCA MUSEUM. Strasburg Railroad,  and 20 other things I am forgetting

All this and the Pennsylvania train Museum too!

COMON DOWN, looking forward to seeing you,

SEE YOU THERE  Frank y-Ogee

Also coincidentally, the N&W 611 will be at the Strasburg RR for the 10/12/19 show.

As we usually do,  my wife Kathy and I will spend that weekend in the Strasburg area and I will be at the O meet on Saturday morning.  I may bring a few items for sale and will be looking around for O Scale odds and ends to add to my collection of parts.  I honestly do not believe I need any more O Scale trains!  But you never know what might show up...

Hey Joe; Always glad to see you.  Hope all is well!!

I just survived another successful Strasburg.  Up at 5 am home by supper.  Fantastic weather brought out a good sized crowd with stuffed wallets.  Folks left carrying arms full of 1/4"to the foot loot and assorted boxes,  lots of track , turnouts and two large TTs.  My vehicle drove much lighter on the way home.

Lots of half empty tables by 11:30 or so.

Thank you John and Rich, great job.

Another excellent Strasburg meet!  Managed to sell off almost all of the left over scenery supplies from building my layout along with a host of kits and other assorted bits & bobs; roughly a 50% reduction in total show/meet inventory.  Picked up one very select item that fits into my specific modeling interests and era, so another success story there.

Lots of good bargains were to be had and as Tom noted above - tables stocked by those that priced their stuff right were were 1/2 cleared by lunch time.

Looking forward to the next meet in August - John and Rich have the dates for this meet set through 2022!!!

No excuses not to know when and where this meet will be taking place!
