Try reaching out to Jeff Kane at the Train Tender or Olsen's. They used to stock the part, but are admittedly not in their current online postings.
Ok .Thank you
If you strike out there, try Dr. Tinker. He's been able to find nearly all of the prewar parts I've needed, he's got an amazing stock of parts that are not on his list. Just yesterday he came up with a drawbar for 262T. That's David Laughridge - david@drtinkertrains.com
Thank you
I have been looking for the gear and was told that it is unavailable....does anyone know if they are available somewhere?
Not at this time. But if i can't find one then I will make a copy of the one I have.
Drtinker want to charge $30.00 on parts min $8.00 shipping! WOW!TO MUCH FOR ME. FOR TWO SMALL PIECES

I think you will find that is not unusual today. It isn't economical for a business to sell small quantities of a custom/unique mix of inexpensive parts. I usually keep a parts list going and when it gets large enough, I place an order.
In my experience, Olsen's and Jeff Kane (TTender) do not have parts minimums, but you are paying $5-6 shipping anyways.
There are also parts vendors that sometimes are at the local train shows and you can buy a small quantity of parts with out minimums AND without shipping AND sometimes with "tax included".
Thanks anyway
Hey Santa Fe, nice job on your in-house fabrication of the part you needed. Somewhere in my archives I have a dump car I was going to restore. Mechanically it was in very good condition and I’m sure the parts you are looking for are very usable. However, now that you fabricated your own part, maybe you are all set, if not let me know and I’ll dig the unit out And sell it to you at a very reasonable price. Let me know, Jim
