I like all cabooses but I am really drawn to the small ones. This is one of 3 of the DM&IR I recently built. I found an old copy of Mainline Modeler with the drawings and decided I had to have one. It has been an interesting build. I have found several photos from several different sources and all of them show the cabooses in good repair and fairly clean so I very lightly weathered it. I read that the DM&IR shop forces had a long winter to work inside and keep the equipment in good repair.

love it! Bravo! I am the proud owner of 3 Brother Love cabeese. 1. Conrail ..Atlas model, patch paint and boarded up windows...weathered like it sat in Pennsylvania for 20 years. 2. EJ&E custom scratch built...awesome. 3. Union RR flat roof cabin....a gift from my wife with help from Kurt Kissner. A Christmas gift unfinished...painted with decals applied by me......love all 3!

Malcolm, it’s great to see you posting your work again here on the Forum.  I always look forward to seeing your latest caboose creations!

Forgive me for asking this if you’ve already mentioned it somewhere else, but are you taking on any additional work?  I’m interested in possibly adding a 3rd “Brother Love” caboose to my collection.
