In the process of setting up a relatively large Intermodal yard and have been scouring this forum and the internet at other hobbyist's layout and I see many with a ton of various railroad/intermodal yard and utility figures in many poses and static movement all without bases and fairly life like. I look online and all I can find is the same Bachmann or Woodland scenic sets and not what I see others using. It is these figures that really bring the layout to life. Can anyone direct me where to go to find these types of figures? I am at a loss....

Thanks!

John

Damit Odell, are you gonna help?

Absolutely some of the best figures and painting I have ever seen in model railroading. I would love to know more about the scale (G?), figures, modeler, and modeling techniques used to achieve these results.

Superb.

I agree. Frankly, I think that most miniature human figures detract from the realism of the scene due to the "uncanny valley" problem (although they are still great fun!).  These are a rare exception. Incredible work!

Just ordered Odell "semaphores up" driver for our local layout. Originally thought the cost of 1 painted figure was $26 plus $25 for shipping and so I didn't put the order through until I figured out the dollars quoted are Australian not U.S. Converted cost around $35 with half of that being shipping. Probably should have ordered more figures to even out the shipping cost, but hey, "semaphore" it.
