I have never seen this 1110 before. I've have/had probably 2 dozen of them. First one I've seen with a plate on the cab. Originally thought someone had just painted a rectangle under the cab until I looked closely and it is a plate held in with tabs. Went to the book and sure enough it's correct. Notice (B) from the book. Anyone else have one?

i have looked at this heading before and one of the orange plate locomotives is even pictured in that Greenberg book, but there are a few others listed that i have never seen an example of (eg, the plain red boiler) either, though like Steve mentioned, i am not really looking very hard for anything at this time. the fact that there is a price listed rather than the NRS indication gives me a bit if encouragement.
in the auction was this an individual piece or part of a set?
Gary, it's a boxed set 603X which is interesting. I can see 601 and 602 in the 1930 catalog, no 603 and what the heck does the X indicate? Also how does 3 cars fit in the box with track
I will post pictures of the cars and box later. Soccer games need my attendance for now.

You can see the motor pieces someone dismantled so I have no idea what was wrong with it. The box looks like it was only meant for 3 cars.
