This week I saw an older gentleman in the office who was a longtime TCA member and has been to York many times.  Unfortunately, over the last 5 to 10 years, his vision has become very poor and he has given up his TCA membership and can no longer enjoy the hobby actively.

He loved postwar accessories and wanted to see pictures of them on my layout.  Unfortunately, it was hard to see on my phone.....so, I printed up 8 x 11 pictures of the accessories on my layout with descriptions.  I included this pics with my letter about  his labs......With his magnifying glasses, he will be able to see them.

These are the pictures I sent him.... I really am an addict of postwar and postwar type accessories.  Even though I confess to be a "high railer", the fun for me has always been to "suspend my disbelief,"   and include them on a layout with scale equipment. I am sure that many of you are like me with your love of animated accessories.....

Still currently without a layout.   So here's my favorite area to watch at the Choo Choo Barn layout.   This was from June 2012P1000415

Like the matching metal roofed covered stairway! Thanks for posting.

The stairway is actually a moving escalator.   My Son and I love the animations at this station.    Along with all the other great animations throughout The Choo Choo Barn display.

FRA rep shows up...

Well, well, well... what have we here? At a glance...

I figure, seeing as this is a switching area, then the moves are under the Yard Limit rule, so, I can see a few things already...

* The ground crew either left a car fouling the adjacent track, or improperly secured it. (So it rolled foul.)

* The Engineer failed to adhere to Yard Limit rules in that he couldn't stop within half the distance of his range of vision.

I'll get to the bottom of it, but I suspect once I do, there's going to be a couple (or more) railroaders that are going to get a nice vacation to think about all this! Oh, and I need to talk to management about how often they conduct Efficiency Tests and see the paperwork on when the last time this crew had been Efficiency Tested for the potential infractions involved.

Just finished upgrading this beautiful K-Line K4.

Wow. Seeing and hearing that beauty makes it very clear to me how you all can be so pleased with your nice 3-rail stuff. Love the voluminous puffs of smoke synchronized with the chuff! That there's the berries!

Also, got a kick out of your dialect, Alex! What a huge country this is with so many different dialects (murderings) of the English language! We go from cornpone (me) to New Yuakuh.

It's all good!

UNION PACIFIC SD70ACe diesel-electric locomotive UP 8996 was pulling a train of wind turbine blades on TTX XTTX flat cars recently built by Greenbrier employees. The train of wind turbine blades was from Canada, moving over the Grand Trunk Western in Michigan, and most likely headed to a Western state served by the Union Pacific on July 12th, 2019.
