All,

I have a PowerHouse 135 that I acquired second hand.  The white plastic Molex connector has been cut off.  My questions:

  1. Which wire is ground?  I saw this in a Mike Reagan video, but can recall the exact one or where.
  2. Does anyone have the part numbers for the Molex connector and associated parts?  I'm thinking of ordering one and repairing this myself.

Many thanks!

George

The Hot is the center pin, and the Common is the bottom. The top pin is only used on the ZW-C transformers for jumpering a brick from one channel to the next in line.  The common is the ridged lead on the cord, the hot is the smooth lead.

Thanks John!  Is that 1 part number everything I would need to rewire the connection, assuming I'm starting from bare wires?

George

Cutting off connectors on PoHos for example, and soldering on spade or ring lugs, enables one to easily connect to the screws or binding posts of any railpower device in the Ogauge world and rid oneself of unnecessary male and female connector clutter.

However, just my experience, I understand it takes different strokes......................!

Cool beans to fix the wire to stock. I disagree with folks who cut off the connectors. And especially since Lionel has the mating connectors available.

The mating connectors are dirt cheap, and you can easily fold these with needle nose pliers and then solder them for security, they're big enough to deal with.

OK, the Digi-Key page is super busy (aka cluttered), so please check this list for me.

(Qty = 1) WM1332-ND

(Qty = 1) WM1101-ND - 0002091104  Molex CONN SOCKET 14-20AWG CRIMP TIN

(Qty = 1) WM1100-ND - 0002092103  Molex CONN PIN 14-20AWG TIN CRIMP

Is that right?

Thanks,

George
