Postwar coupler shoes and Ross switches | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I recently picked up a set of postwar Lionel passenger cars for my son. These have coupler pick-up shoes and they uncouple every time they go through Ross switches. Does anyone have a good solution for this beyond cutting the wires to the coupler coils.

Small piece of black electrical tape on the shoe is what I used. Of course defeats use of them when you want to, I never did.

Thanks for the responses. I checked out the Ross sight and will try they suggest. If I had given it much thought I should have checked there first.
