I’m looking for information from members who have converted to the esu loksound select L from mth ps3. This is a O scale 2 rail layout with digitrax control. All my locomotives are mth. Any advice would greatly be appreciated, thank you.

Factory installed PS3 units should all be DCC ready as they are. Is there another reason you are converting these to Loksound?
Like MJCAT said, PS-3 locomotives are DCC compatible. I have run them at the same time as a Lionel conventional locomotive I converted to LokSound. I run on Atlas 3R track with a NCE command system. Yes, you do not have near the configurability and customization on PS-3 as you do with LokSound, but I have found PS-3 is enough for me at this time to not warrant the work to convert. That being said, as the MTH locomotives have DC can motors, converting them should be rather straight forward and easy enough to do if you have experience converting locomotives to DCC.
