I'm not familiar with the kit from memory.  Is the missing piece visible from the outside when it's in place?  If not, a piece of Plastruct (correct thickness), or even card stock painted to match could work.  If you or someone else posts a photo of the assembly instructions, we could probably help you more.

How about a link to what you are looking at if you can't take a picture?

(as you compose, lower right of that box, in blue, "attachment tool". Find pic. load pic, wait for "success", check of new box "insert large size", hit finish, finish composing, post...    Just copy paste an address here in the text; it will usually turn into a blue link automatically. Bold @ and you'll trigger this alert @bennett V )

Otherwise you're hoping and waiting for someone to be intimately familiar with the part, not simply the tower, but the part.  That or your asking us to do unnecessary searches. If you have, or even know of a direct address already, why make us search too?

Offhand, with only the fact that "something door like slides" to base a suggestion on, styrene or sheet metal. Better info= better ideas

so, it turns out its NOT a missing piece, the piece is just broken. i cant find the other part to the piece sadly.

breezinup posted the correct piece, and i cant take pictures for some reason, but it is broken right after the first lumpish thingy with the hole in it.

Assuming we are talking about this piece, you could probably cut a wire coat hanger to length, then tape the hanger to the remaining end of the shutter door piece.

yes were talking about that piece

Along those lines of repair,

I'm thinking small metal wire skewers for roasting in the kitchen. There is a nice loop on those for grabbing. Bend an small L on the trimmed end , & jb weld, gel super glue, plastic weld cementc etc.   (pass thru hole 1st?).

Plastic drink stir at some bars. They have a ball tip that is close looking.

If you wanted to get creative, it seems an opportunity for adding a servo motor or coil to do the work.

No room inside? Hide it outside in an added stair/elevator shaft's top or odd protrusion/cover of  some kind, etc...?
