The crew from the Polar Express have joined the "Spring Lake Carolers" for some holiday cheer before headed to the North Pole. But wait where is the engineer? He is on the caboose of the southbound freight train, heading for a "Southern Sunshine Christmas". Looks like the crew will be stuck in Spring Lake for the holidays.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Keep those trains running!

Great photos guys!

@Jeffery Boat, what a great Christmas scene! Is that outpoint on your layout there year round?

@trumptrain, Wonderful snow land Patrick! Looks kind of like around my house right now. the only thing missing is the sidewalks in your town being shoveled!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Hi Mike,

Thanks, glad you like it. The observation deck that I built is up all year round. It's great for special events and holidays.

Merry Christmas

Jeff

Camping area at Christmas time. River fun has really slowed down as cooler weather has set in.20211016_19035220211016_190406

All this amazing lighting and bridgework and dam runoff and water and rocks and trailers and guiderails and wooden dockwork and canoes and vehicles and figures and trees and...............leave it to me........my eyes go immediately to the abandoned house on the cliff

Really nice John.

Thanks for all the comments guys. As I have said before my trains take me back to my childhood  where I had a 4x8 sheet of plywood and ran my two trains on it . No accessories  or scenery but so much fun. It's even better at Christmas  time. Merry Christmas  everyone 20211016_185603

John, The river looks like it could just run right out onto the floor and the viewer is standing in it.

Christmas in a small town. I love the lights of a small town . This small town is much like our town in Owensboro  Ky. Lot of memories  around that town at Christmas  time. Especially  the train layouts in the stores where I was glued to.Merry Christmas everyone. 20211213_19310120211213_19304620211017_192831

That's beutiful John. I love your cable guardrails and all the street lights really add realism to your town. Are the street lights Woodland Scenecs? I considering theirs for my little town.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  Trains are more fun when others enjoy them with you. All the layouts and the work that is taking place on them is inspiring  to me. The different  ideas and style of scenery is spectacular  on this site. I love all the post you guys do and I get a lot of ideas from you guys .thanks. Farmerjohn

Nice feeling with the early and mid morning light Patrick.

After walking along the tracks going to and from school over half a century ago I still remember the large gravel along the rails.              The size and color of your gravel in your GG1 scene is just about as perfect as I've seen in a layout.    Nice.

Dallas thank you so very much!    Happy New Year!

Excellent, Mike!  I have two of those Greyhounds.  The first I bought at Brady’s Trains in Greensburg, Pa with Greensburg on the destination board.  Fitting since G’burg is only 40 miles away.  The second I found has Wheeling on the destination board.  Well “Wheel on down to Wheeling” my dad used to say.  Wheeling, WV is in my layout’s backyard so to speak.
