Ron, I guess I didn't read far enough to notice it was G scale. I should have realized it, as it's of course twice the size of a O scale one.

We got a historic drought here in California, the Colorado River is drying up and our HOA is complaining that our lawn is not getting enough water!
These days I just want to say "screw it" and move into that little Airstream. It's probably really nice inside. I'd set up my trains in the boxcar! And finish up that old Fairlane...

Yesterday we had a train day at Farmerjohns home and he ran the new UP Lionel legacy steam locomotive 4-12-2, and it’s a Sweet steamer. It’s always fun to see what Johnny has been up to, he’s so creative. Here’s Johnny. Happy Railroading Everyone

FOR TODAY: In the still of the moonlight these MOW workers are still at it. Hard working burley dudes who love the aroma of creosote, the staccato ping of sledge hammers driving spikes, and a nice cold brew at the end of a shift. ... just another day on the railroad!
Regional Acela, Boston To N Y, with stops in Providence, Kingston, New London, New Haven, Stamford, Bridgeport, last stop Penn Station. Quiet and Café cars… Nice Local, two engines. Speeds up to 105 MPH where accessible. Nice smooth ride, all new coaches..’

FOR TODAY: Pumpkin harvest time! ... Farmers are trucking their pumpkins to the team track at Danlilu up on the Mountain Division. This plug door boxcar will be full by lunch time.
It's getting cooler now and river fun has slowed down except for a few fishermen enjoying the weather and the hope of catching the big one
Miss Daisy, waiting for hubby to return from a business trip, as she enjoys one last top-down day on a warm Saturday evening in late fall...
Farmerjohn, thanks for posting the beautiful pictures of your really nice layout, the first picture, the first scene seen when one comes down your stairway is simply breathtaking, a thrill like no other. The blue colors blend so nicely with the River in the forefront. Amazing scenes, turntable in the background, triple bridges on the left side looking so massive. It’s a fun to run railroad, a creative track plan well developed. Thanks for giving members of the forum an glimpse of a truly nice railroad plan. Now a few pictures from my layout in Clarksville…. Happy Railroading Everyone

FOR TODAY: Fireman Toady Lyle sits patiently in the cab as headend brakeman Cliff Tyson has climbed off the locomotive to get a closer look at some wild turkeys. ( not shown in photo ). Looks like the upper altitudes of the Mountain Division is showing a bit of snow. Well it won't be long now before this section of the Free State Junction Railway's Mountain Division will be getting lots of the white powder and the plows will be kept busy. .... Just another day on the railroad!

Patrick, great scene! Being out and about in the outdoors had its benefits for me as well working for power and telecommunications companies over the years. It’s nice to be able to enjoy the wildlife, even if the weather isn’t the best.

Thanks Mark! Working outdoors certainly has its' benefits! I'd imagine that you saw a wide variety of wild life out there.

FOR TODAY: Last winter in the highest altitudes of the Mountain Division, a flanger plow clears the main as a steam locomotive provides the push power. 
Hi guys, nice to see you all still here! LOL Sorry I haven't been but hope to change that soon. What wonderful photos and pictures you have all posted and the stories that go with them! I am not ready for snow but am ready for trains! Please keep posting all the great pictures so I can get a little smile each day!

Morning guys I hope your all doing well! With winter coming and seeing all the show they are getting in Patsburg I thought I better get out there and pick up some new snowplows for the local roads so here are the new additions to the layout!
Mike, great scene...I'll be needing those plow units on my layout pretty soon, as long as we have enough diesel to go around in the Northeast this winter
