What you have is a 12 repainted and lettered as a 112. Use the big trucks, couple em together and run em!

Lionel "10" series. All nickel plated. like these: 12 Gondola

Guess I have to change the title of this thread to "3 Gondolas", as I just received my first "200" series car:

Being my first "200", I had no idea how BIG these are. 😲 I'm guessing the "500" series might be a better fit for the #10...(?)

@Strummer Mark yes the 500 series freight cars are the better fit. Here is a pic from the 1927 catalog showing a typical consist components.

So I guess the 200 series is more of a match to the larger 8- wheel engines, like the 402...(?)

Mark here is some other information from the catalog’s.

In 1925, notice the distinction in the description of car use.

Than in 1927 when the 500 series of cars were introduced.

Than in 1929
