I was up in Long Island this past weekend so I stopped into Nassau Hobby early Saturday morning for a visit.

The store itself was fantastic and Charlie was super friendly.  I hope next time I visit I get a chance to talk with him or the guys a bit more, I was in a bit of a rush because I was eager to visit family so I was only in the shop for about 20-30 minutes.  They have a great O Gauge layout/display up front, they have an RC car table, and of course they have a nice little Thomas the Tank Engine table for the little ones.  They have a bunch of items all over the store and they seem to have tons of inventory in their warehouse (out back?).  I didn't see much tinplate on the shelves so I asked Charlie about a nice little "I Love NY" Lionel Corp (MTH) Tinplate boxcar I saw on his website.  Sure enough Charlie went away and came back two minutes later with the boxcar and I took out my wallet, a nice little memento of my trip.  He mentioned he'll be at York but unfortunately I'm not planning on going there this year, maybe next year I'll make the trip.

Some pictures of the shop are below and there is a link to additional pictures at the bottom of this post.

All the best...Rich Murnane

Everyone should have a Thomas layout!
