I have the 20-3028-1 premier Blue Comet, and in the past year, the cowcatcher section of the pilot has broken off repeatedly. After numerous attempts to super glue it back on, I finally bought a replacement. It came today, and after installing it, I would strongly recommend that anybody who has this engine do the same, even if you're isn't broken.

I noticed when putting it in, that unlike the old casting, where the cowcatcher was attached only at the sides, and open in the middle, the new casting is attached on both sides and in the middle, which likely adds strength.

The replacement pilot is $20, plus $17 Shipping by FedEx.

Part number is FB-1130014.
