I am looking to add a non-powered UP diesel to pull behind my Big Boy, as is done by the restored 4014. Is there a non powered version that still has the smoke and rail sounds feature set?

I don’t know of any non-powered units with sound other than Lionel’s Superbass B-units. I don’t think any modern style dummy diesel has it. Several have smoke. As always, I can be wrong.
Do a search under gunrunnerjohn. He has a recent topic on a new board he is working on that will put sounds into a dummy. This might be your best bet.

I would first suggest that you search the internet, YouTube specifically, and see exactly what sort of "modern" GE diesel unit/units they have been using behind 4014. Then, you will also find exactly which road number you need.

I don't think either Lionel nor MTH offer non-powered "dummy" versions of the current "modern GE" diesel units.
Thanks for the help... I think I will be targeting a full feature engine that has those features but doesn't run and just pull the motor out of it. That way I can get the look I want and have the option of fixing it up later if I choose to do so.
