Re: AIU Discovery via DCS WIFI/WIU

Hello,

I recently purchased an AIU to add to my DCS system. I've connected the AIU to the TIU using the RJ12 reverse cable (The TIU "AIU Input" port is cabled to the AIU "TIU Input" port.). When I launch the Wi-Fi DCS App and go to Accessories > [Refresh Icon] then Accessories > Add > Add Accessory > TIU - 365C I see the following screen:

Am I missing something? I don't currently have any accessories or switches wired to the AIU but I don't believe that's necessary to "Discover" the AIU - from what I've read, the AIU receives its power via the TIU-AIU cable. I am able to discover locomotives and tracks.

Here's a summary of my configuration:

TIU Rev L
TIU Firmware Version: 06.10
WIU Firmware Version: MTH WIFI DCS 20160107-1007 / LuCI mthdcs-v1.1rc1-1-gd26bd7d Release (git-15.205.28457-77acfe0)
DCS Wi-Fi App Version: v3.1.0, build 49

I don't have a DCS remote to test as I'm exclusively using the WIU.

Matt,

Some questions:

Did you wait for the WIU to completely come up, i.e., waited 3 or more minutes for the LEDs to stabilize?
After waiting, did you refresh the app before attempting to add accessories?
Did you navigate to the More... Screen, Advanced Features, System Settings, TIU Settings to verify that the app saw your TIU?

Hi @Barry Broskowitz,

Thanks for the quick reply. I had been power cycling the TIU but not the WIU. After disconnecting and reconnecting power to both the TIU and WIU, then rebooting my phone to ensure a full App restart, I was able to "Read" the AIU on my next attempt. I created a test accessory and can hear the relay activate, so it looks like I'm all good.
