I ordered one of the Albert Hall engines off of Lionel's parts site and when it came I discovered one of the axles on the tender is so bent it won't stay on the track even on straight track.  Lionel customer support was great and speedily sent me a new wheel set and some axle bearings for the tender right away.  Now here's my question.  How do I remove the wheel set and axle bearings from the tender without damaging anything.  The axle bearings look like they snap in place and I'm not sure how they come out without using brute force.

There is a trick. There is a tang on the bearing that snaps into a cutout in the frame. It is above the wheel axle. Use a small bladed screwdriver and push the tang out from the front, and slide down to unlock. To replace the bearing, insert the wheel set in the other sides bearing, then hold the replacement bearing while inserting the axle and bearing into the frame. Be sure the tang in snapped in.
