OK, guys. Time to start the list of OGR Forum guys, gals and guests who are planning to join us for breakfast before the Spring Thaw Meet on Saturday, February 23rd in Allentown, PA.  http://allentowntrainmeet.com/

Please copy and add your name to the list. But remember, this is not a commitment on your part but gives us an idea of how the Hamilton Family Restaurant (The Ham Fam) will set up the back room for us.

OGR Forum members start arriving at 6:30 a.m. (some earlier). We order breakfast 'on the fly' so come anytime you can. NOTE: TedsGG1 will have the advance tickets which gain you admission to the meet at 8 a.m., one hour earlier than the general public.

For newcomers (and the forgetful among us  HamFam is at 2200 Hamilton Blvd, Allentown, PA., and is just a few blocks from the Allentown Fairgrounds location of the meet.

I have choice words for you Chuck, but I'll reserve them.   I have to get up a bit earlier than that.

Choice words? Like “I got the check?”😂🍓🍓🍓🥓🥓🥓

That wouldn't be the choice words, but nice try.

What? Spend all your disposable income on a new house and layout????

  14. M. J. Breen - I’ll have some trains for sale too, see my post on the sale/trade board

Just got back. Great breakfast, as usual. The train show seemed to have, what could be, a record-breaking attendance. There was nothing that I "needed", but ended up spending $90. anyway (a postwar Flyer engine and 4 buildings to use on my "S" layout). For those of you there for both days...does Sunday have far fewer people attending?

Leaving for home now. Instead of going to preshow, this time I got there at 9:15 with ticket already in hand and went straight past a long line of folks waiting to buy their tickets. By then, it was just starting to get crowded and much more so when I left more than 3-1/2 hours later. Heard a few folks complain about prices but I didn't think they were bad and feel I good good deals. Picked up a built-up Woodland Scenics Built & Ready BR5845: Country Store Expansion for $75, no tax, an MTH Strasburg bobber caboose exclusive to Nicholas Smith for $55, no tax, and 2 sets (36 seated figures each) of guy Golden Gate Depot 1930s - 1950s era "Little People" to populate my MTH Premiere 64' Woodside Strasburg passenger car.

I also saw Menard's Watkins city block on an O gauge display and am impressed with it so if I can  figure a way to subdue its exterior lighting to give it a soft  incandescent hue I'll order it. Will need to also make interior window lighting above JR Wakins appear incandescent rather than it's current florescent glare.

Took part in OGR group pictures too with other OGRers who were able to be there for it

Overall, a VERY GOOD morning!!!!!!20190223_11053620190223_110644
