Am I doing my wiring right so far? Currently converting my TMCC to TMCC/DCS layout.

I have two questions, does the TMCC base still need the power source. Currently in this picture the TMCC power cable isn’t attached.

Also the TMCC used to have a (U) cable going from my TMCC base to my direct Lockon. This Lockon has now been removed, but there is no where to attach the (U) wire to from my BASE. Is the (U) wire supposed to go anywhere now or is it useless and not needed now.

As for the power supply, I’m waiting on my cable so I can attach my powerhouse to my TIU. I’m mainly confused about if the TMCC Base needs a power source to wall, and if I’m supposed to do anything with that (U) cable.

advice/help appreciated

Thank You

Yes you still need the wall wart power adapter that came with it.  It should be plugged into a known good grounded outlet.

The "U" connection needs to be connected to the outside rail of the track (common) or the black binding post on the output side of the TIU (also common).  You can also attach it to the black post on the barrier strip you have there.  Electrically they are all the same.  Depending on the vintage of the TIU the black posts may or may not be internally connected.  If you use more than one output to discrete loops it will have to be connected to the addition black post to ensure good signal.

Thank You
