I just got a really nice 332AC at a local show today. The problem is it will not run. Does anyone know an American Flyer repairman on Long Island, NY? I would like to have it repaired locally, but I am willing to mail it out if I must.

You might contact Doug Peck at Portlines.com to see if he has any east coast recommendations (he does repairs but his site currently says he's 'full up'). The only other person I've dealt with (for parts, but he does repairs) is Steve Blackburn at S'nS Trains - he's in Boise, ID, so not exactly across town for you. There are others, including folks here on OGR...
Have you tried to scope out the problem? It could be as simple as a broken wire or solder joint.
I looks like the tender needs to be rewired. I'll fool with it further, but I'm not hopeful.
Did you get it working? Easy to repair try it.

The wiring diagram is a bit inscrutable - there are some clearer diagrams a few pages earlier, but I don't a better one for the 332AC - someone on this site will likely have it. There's a lot of accumulated wisdom within the OGR community, so don't be afraid to ask questions - photos are always helpful...
Usually the reverse unit needs to be repaired / rebuilt.
If you are not comfortable with repairing it yourself, bring it to Trainland in Lynbrook on Sunrise Highway. I used to work there doing repairs when i was living in NY City. I'm in North Carolina now, and worked for a repair center down here.

Where in long island are you?
I live in Holtsville. I found a repair guy in Upstate NY who will rebuild the entire engine for me. It is a hobby of his and charges nominal prices. He come hghly recommended.
