American Flyer Statesman Set | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Looking at a Statesman set today, has the 4654, two 4141 Bunker Hills and a 4142 Yorktown, all orange versions. All look to be C6 or better, original except the drivers are replaced. Any one have a rough estimate of the value? I am especially attracted to the litho on the coaches vs all painted.

350-450 retail. The later version where the cars actually say "statesman" is much more desirable. The 4654 as all AF wide gauge is an excellent runner. They hardly ever have issues if the wheels were installed properly.

Thanks Knighthawk. I have Doyle's book from 2007, but not sure how accurate the pricing would be. I did pick it up, only a few warts. This is my first Flyer std gauge. Still need a place to run them though. Now to sell my Areotrain to pay for it

So far all the minor issues are trim pieces that can be easily straightened. It is missing two brass journal covers. Is the are vendor for these?
