hello, does anyone know anything about this light bulb it is from a 1925 American flyer wide gauge passenger car.

I would have to guess that someone replaced the original American Flyer bulb with a later generic Christmas type bulb, as Flyer did not use that type of bulb, as evidenced by the replacement bulbs they sold in the 1920s and 1930s.

Its a Christmas bulb. Not really for trains.

Even though it’s a Christmas bulb you see them all the time in toy trains. Little Billy must of had his train under the tree and used whatever bulb was handy to replace the old one.

Those bulbs were used in a string of about 7 wired in series. 120 volts divided by 7 bulbs gives about 17 volts per bulb. Bulb is good for Model trains
