I was researching the old Bombardier LRC (Light, Rapid, Comfortable) train that ran on VIA rail and Amtrak and, was wondering why no one ever produced them in O scale? I think that these trains are quite nice and have an interesting service history and although Rapido makes them, it would be awesome to get them in O scale. I also found it interesting that the one high speed train that manufacturers like MTH and Lionel could actually make, they haven't attempted yet. I know that there is a contractual agreement between the builders, railroads, and the manufacturers but I'm also thinking that this would make an awesome model to attempt. I'm only asking because with the talk of high speed rail models becoming a big thing, Acela being a long way from being reproduced again, and the thought of what models can be made for a high speed & modern train layout, like TGV, Acela, or even a Eurostar, I thought this would be a good first start considering it's close to home and it's small enough that it doesn't require huge O-72 curves like the TurboTrain or the Acela. I think this would make an awesome train to have a model of on a modern train layout.
