Old Home Filler-Up An' Keep On A-Truckin' Cafe! - C.W. McCall
Why we choose to do this flatcar with these pup trailers? This is a legitimate trailer with a real company name on it. For those of you from the Midwest who can remember, back in the days, the ole' advertisement on radio and television for "Old Home Bread" will recognize the name. More so you might even recognize the voice who "sings" all these ads! The great C.W. McCall (Bill Fries) himself! We tend to idolize the man for he brings back many fond memories of times back then when all was well in the world. Another little known fact is that the "Old Home Fill-er Up An' Keep On A-Truckin' Cafe" exists in Pisgah, Iowa. This was the foundation of many of C.W. McCall's lyrics and even some of the filming location of the television ads. Located in Pisgah is one of many branch lines of the C&NW. We felt that if Old Home Bread went national, the proud C&NW would carry them on through.
