Jr Junction Train & Hobby is proud to announce our second “O” scale New York Ontario & Western custom run by Weaver Models.

Made by the American Car & Foundry in 1911 and 1916, the New York Ontario & Western purchased 200 Composite Wood & Steel Gondola’s numbered 6200-6399.  As built, these cars had drop bottoms and ends; however by the 1940’s the railroad had converted all of them to fixed bottoms.  These cars were very successful for the railroad surviving in use right up to 1957.

We are proud to be the exclusive source for these in “O” scale.
These cars will be produced in 6-car sets featuring 6 different road numbers.
A limited number of single cars will also be available.

Thanks Jim and you are right!  We have done several custom run cars and locomotives with Weaver Models and they are great people to deal with.  We have tons of ideas for future releases.

We don't have firm figures from Weaver yet, but I expect the set of six cars to be approximately $300 or $55 each single car.  Two-Rail cars will be slightly more.  I will post here and notify all customer preorders when the actual pricing and approximate availability date has been set.

Thank you all for your preorders!  They are going better than even I expected!

I waited until I had a chance to talk to Weaver Models owner Joe Hayter myself before I announced anything.  All custom run projects with Weaver including this one has been cancelled.  Joe did tell me that if someone acquires the company and tooling, he will let me know so I can hopefully set up this custom run project with the new owners.

I will be calling all of our customers that had these pre-ordered.  We thank all of you for your interest in these cars.

As a shred of good news, I can now devote more time effort and money into a different custom run New York Ontario & Western item(s).  I cannot go into detail here, but it will be something that has never been done in "O" scale before and will certainly be on every NYO&W enthusiasts want list.

Thank you again for your interest in these gondola cars.
