The front of the hood on that wooden car looks like it could slice thru just about anything! 

Will the Prototype Building be one of those we can customize with different signs?

I kind of like the one next to the dog food building. Hopefully someone will post a better photo of it.

That building has already been released.  There are a few nice pics on the Menards site that show off all the details. 

I've been hoping for a GTW and red CP Rail boxcars. Nice!

No single dome oil tank cars shown. Hopefully there are some in pre-production planning.

For the Menards show this time around I only took a few pics. All of the Menards display. I thought the show itself was better then last year. Got a chance to talk to Mark and Bob ( dad ). Before the wife and I left dad sat with us as he grab some lunch. And ( this is for Mike g and playtrains ) he said I was elevated to # 1 son. I walked out of there proud as a peacock LOL.......I think we are going to be in for some great surprises from Menards this year......Keep watching............Paul 2

The GRAND TRUNK WESTERN and CP Rail box cars are alright. I would get some of them. 

The SEABOARD SYSTEM box car is supposed to have Yellow where they have applied Orange. Is is too late to fix that?

Andrew, I have a theory, I've purchased many Menards freight cars over the last several years. What I've noticed is, to me, some of the paint schemes seem to be altered in some way or form. For instance, the railroad logo or herald will be opposite of say a Lionel car made before it. The cars color may be different or a different hue or shade.

Lionel did do the correct colors in the photo that you posted above, https://www.ebay.com/itm/LIONE...XED-C5-/352480426145 but, they also did this car with white letters and logo, but, I figure you already know this.

I may be wrong, but, I think this is done so Menards isn't making an exact copy of a car that's already been produced previously by Lionel, MTH, etc. I think that's why the color orange was used instead of yellow, and, probably why it will stay orange.

Twenty years ago stuff like this would have bothered me (I used to be a rabid rivet counter) I still am sometimes, depending on what it is, but, I have decided to not worry about being so prototypical anymore. I just what to run some trains, do a little scenery, and enjoy myself creating something fun.

The size of the graphics on the SEABOARD SYSTEM box car is different.

This is not about the body style, so it is not "rivet counting".

The Orange and white lettering and markings replacing the Yellow lettering and markings creates an unpleasant visual appearance. It looks like a creepy Halloween version. There should be scary monsters inside of this box car.

Well, "Rivet Counting" applies to paint schemes, too, in my book. Okay, then, buy it for Halloween . Or just buy the Lionel car that's on ebay for $20.95 and be happy!
