Just received mine today. The blue may be light, but I can live with it. Overall, this is a beautiful model. This is my first time I've ever gotten a LEGACY fantasy scheme in my collection. Since I don't have the LEGACY system in my new home yet, I tried to test in in conventional, but couldn't get it to run right. So I'll wait to test it on my other layout. Must be the new electronics doing that.

Beautiful real coal load in the tender.

As you can see, the cast-in coal load is blue, but I can always paint that black for realism.

You can run it via Bluetooth with the lionel app. It's free to download. You won't get all the features but you will get alot more then conventional. That's the way I plan to run mine when it arrives.

Doesn't that need the wi-fi adapter?

No you do not. As long as you have a cellular connection to load the app to your phone or other mobile device. The phone app will bluetooth directly to the locomotive. All you need is powered track. It is the same as any Lionchief, Lionchief plus or Lionchief plus 2.0 that is bluetooth equipped. There should be a "Bluetooth" switch on the bottom of the locomotive. All legacy engines are now bluetooth capable. You can youtube this and you will see how easy it is.

Here's my new Legacy Reading Camelback.

One minor complaint and it's common to all of the new sound boards for steam. No battery option! With the short spaced rollers, this locomotive loses sound over a number of my switches, especially the double-slip switches! It's a bummer they decided to cheap out on allowing a battery to bridge these sounds.

Going for a short run with my only Reading Heavyweight passenger cars, time to start shopping for some more.

Got my Blue Comet Camelback a few days ago. Looks great, runs great and smokes great. Love the whistle steam. The blue is brighter then the past legacy blue comet paint so keep that in mind if you get one to run with other blue comet items. Will not match. I ran mine with a set of skeleton log cars and it looks awesome. Also I  was pleasantly surprised that I had all whistles only using the bluetooth app. Instead of the slider bar on the app only changing the pitch sounds, it actually changes to different whitsles. The manual stated that on newer legacy models the pitch bar my change the whistle all together which it does. It also is nice that with bluetooth only you still get random brake squeal and other random sounds.
