Anyone fix EOB issues?

You should be able to do this yourself. 

First step is to have the TAS Installation Instructions for EOB Complete.pdf manual in hand, then just pretend you're installing it from scratch.  If you go through the initialization steps, you should get it back, assuming the board itself isn't defective.

It's normal for the chuffs not to work until they're properly initialized, I think if you just go back to square one, you should be able to fix it.

I still can't get he engine to slow down after trying to redo the instructions...I have a second engine which fell off my sons layout. It has spent 2 years waiting for a dealer to repair it--he has given it back to me unfixed and said good luck with it. Is there anyone that will repair these?

If you were closer, I could get it running for you.  I've got a few of these, and I've worked on others.

As far as the one that fell off the layout, I'm assuming that isn't an EOB issue, right?   Is it simply a parts procurement issue for that one?

The one that fell has EOB and it stopped working as well. The motor works--however it wants to take off and the chuff rate is way off. The engine gets faster and the chuff slows and stops.

That one may simply have the encoder knocked loose off the motor, fixing that may return it to service.  The "take off" is a classic sign of the tach encoder not seeing the motor flywheel strip.  Also, since the EOB is probably in the tender, the tether having a broken wire can result in the same symptoms.

At the risk of "jumping the gun" on the Gunrunner, it sounds like the fall might have dislodged the speed sensor, and maybe a couple of other things. Have you taken off the shell and inspected it? 

The "gun" has already been fired.

Which one am I looking at?

I'll let you look at both if you don't mind. One is a Lionel N&W Class A, the other one is a K-Line Mikado that was custom painted(that's the one that bounced).
