Anyone know how to remove the radar antenna from a 16652?

I'm trying to install some stuff inside the main shell on this car, but it seems the radar antenna must be removed first. The drawing looks like the radar antenna is simply pressed on the vertical shaft, but tugging on the base of the antenna, its kind of really on there - sure hate to break a like new car. Anybody done this before and willing to share any suggestions?

It pulls straight up and off, unless someone glued it to the shaft.
