Hello to all my fellow Lionel collectors! I am curious to see who else owns an archbar truck version of the 3370 Outlaw car. This car is almost never seen on the market, I've never seen one at York, Google shows only AAR versions, only seen it in one non-train store and on ebay one time (mine ;D). Despite its apparent scarcity, it seems either no one knows or cares about this variation, despite the popularity of the Lionel Postwar General sets that the car was made to go with. The details on this variation of the car seem really vague; no one knows exactly when it was produced, most Postwar General sets have the common AAR truck version, and it's price is usually exactly the same as the common AAR version. So my question is...what does the community think? Why is this car apparently not being clamored after by collectors or given a high price despite its apparent scarcity and the popularity of the General sets? Let me know down below or show your 3370 versions! I'd like to see how many are out there!

Nice car, based on Greenberg's description, the "arch-bar" 3370 version was used has a component for General sets (as you stated above).  I cannot say how rare or unusual, but I did have a couple "arch" examples in my previous postwar collection.

enjoy your trains...

Thank you for your input! I'm glad to hear you had a few

Now you have me thinking, another "look for item" at the October York show, maybe add a 3370 "arch" to my present postwar inventory. This hobby is always fun in a humorous insane way.

Please do try to find one; they seem to be nearly non-existent at York. Every one I saw last year had AARs!
