Are Lionel's TPC controllers still in production?

No Chris but the Legacy Powermaster has all the same features except being able to use 2 bricks into one unit.

Jon mentioned some time ago that he might come out with a Legacy TPC but I don't know if there is really needed.

I haven't seen these lately, since these units are in Lionel's new ZW-L transformer, which is another reason the ZW-L is priced at $799.

Interesting.  I didn't realize the new ZW had the capabilities. I have to read up on what that monster can do. 

If you have the levers of the ZW-L up all the way and turn on the power, how must you use the remote to get the 18vac needed?

And when you hit emergency stop or have a track short, what must be done with the remote to restore 18 vac?

I believe they are supposed to be coming out with a Powermaster that will be able to combine two PH bricks. Late 2015 or early 2016 maybe.

The levers on the ZW-l set the max voltage when using the CAB2.  I have my ZW-L levers set to max.  When I power the ZW-L on, the power on all 4 channels is zero.  I have address each channel with the remote and dial up the power.  This gives me complete control of the power for each channel via the CAB2.  By setting the momentum to high, I get 200 speed steps when dialing up the power.

If the halt button is pressed, it sets all the channels back to zero.  To power things back up, I have to address each channel with the remote and turn the power back up.  When a channel gets a short, the ZW-L kills the power for ONLY the affected channel.  I can then reset the channel using the cab2 an dial the power back up once I correct the short.  I do not need to go to the ZW-L to fix a short.  I love that feature.
