What do you think of a Forum Section where you can ask OGR staff questions?

Not Customer Service, but just a place where we can ask them about OGR articles and Runs, as well as their layouts, collections, other hobbies, careers, opinions, etc.

Here is a good example. IMHO Allan Millers editorial where he discussed about how he first got into O gauge is probably the best OGR Editorial ever.

Would love to chat with him about that, as the book he cited is also the same book that got me started in O gauge.

Plus, questions for Rich about his real life Steam Operations etc.

Just food for thought.

George,

MartyE does have a good point. You're fairly new to the forum. In the past each did have a separate email. I'm sure that there was a very good reason to end that practice.

In the past I noticed that whenever a member of staff did make a post it was like a feeding frenzy. There are some on the forum who lack the ability to show respect to the staff. An example would be whenever Jim Barrett would post a response to a question. There would be a breakdown in manners. It seemed as if every know it all would try to prove that they knew better. Before long there would be personal attacks instead of respectful responses by the, "know-it-all's". This is based entirely on my observations and opinion.

Wow, basically the "I know better than anyone" crowd chased them away.

Who would have thought that in such a pleasant hobby, such attitudes exist.

I see quite a few replies by the OGR staff from time to time. It may vary with their work schedules? I think they currently do answer questions when asked. At least from what I have seen here.

I can't say about the disrespectful comments, don't know on that one? I will defer to the others that have been around here a lot longer than I have.  I thought the staff all had emails listed on the OGR magazine website? They used to because I emailed a some of the staff a couple of times, last fall was the last time I remember. May not have been immediate, but I always got an answer too.

I never thought to check their profile and try emailing them that way though? I guess my questions were more magazine related so I just went there first instead of looking here.
