Can someone please tell me exactly which dcc decoder(s) will be in the upcoming Atlas F-7's? Will they have sound and full dcc control out of the box or will I have to add a decoder? (I ordered A&B powered units in Rio Grande colors)

I believe that the F-7's will have a Titan decoder installed. No need to install another.

Thank you Ed. This will be my first Atlas loco, so I'm not 100% sure what to expect.
I would assume its the QSITitan Magnum-6 Amp Decoder? These have a street price of $199 so it seems to be quite a good value to have them included in the locos. I am looking forward to receiving these great models (with corrected fuel tank!!) when they arrive.

Martin H, you probably know this by now but just in case you haven't heard Atlas is switching over to ESU LokSound decoders. I have a Rio Grande AA on order myself. Like the QSI Titan system you won't have to add a decoder to it. Some people say LokSound sounds better others say the Titan sounds better. I don't know myself.

Sunset has used the QSI Titan in the E7s, FP7s, and FTs so far and probably in their upcoming F7s.
I have a pair each of the F7s and FP7s and the sound is great. their is a little bit of a learning curve to program the QSI titan, but it is worth it. There hundres of options for lighting and sound available hence the more complex programming. I think there are over 20 horns available. And there are separate functions for headlights, backup lights, ditch lights, marker lights, and Mars lights (if installed). All of these may not be used but are there in the decoder.
