Just received my atlas f3b unit. I made a train with my f3a and the first time around the b unit derailed. After inspecting the b unit I discovered that one set of trucks did not have the turning ability of the other truck. What I discovered is the brake cylinder lever hits the ladder. I have started to trim back the lever to allow the unit to run without derailing. My smallest radius is O 63. Has anyone else had similar problems?
I would just remove the ladder before cutting up the detail parts. A picture of the issue?
Their information lists minimum diameter of:
- Minimum diameter curve: O-36 (3-Rail) (A-unit)
- Minimum diameter curve: O-45 (3-Rail) (B-unit)
I took your advise and removed the ladders. I knew it would work, I thought I would miss the ladders but being they are black I don't miss them.
