Your message says 2023 but the included ad States 2022. I have received my 2022 GSC WP cars. To be very picky, they stick out like a sore thumb on my shelf as the boxes are a different Blue from my numerous Atlas inventory. As stated previously by me, this union with MTH is leaving me confused in many aspects of it.

Atlas is using the MTH Premier molds they purchased from MTH hence the Atlas Premier Line in the new blue box. It is a little confusing because Atlas markets Atlas O (more detailed models), Trainman, slightly less detailed and now Atlas Premier Line.

They are trying to satisfy the MTH fans and recouped their costs for buying the molds plus if you notice the new GSC cars and the new Atlas Premier line offering all come from the same factory MTH used which makes production easier.

Personally, I am ok with it for now as I dial into what I want from Atlas the way I dial into Lionel's offering.

Thank you for your reply. I have been trying to figure this combination for months. I had always thought that Atlas bought MTH, but I continued to receive emails labeled MTH and saw ads for MTH products. I was totally confused as to what the deal was. I will be looking for Atlas O products. If the GSC cars are not the Atlas O product, I am out.

Sorry, my mistake, should be 2022.  I have changed the information to correct it.

Atlas bought select MTH tools for their Premier line.  We have kept the Premier name as an indication of what they are.  Lionel also bought some tooling.  Scale Trains bought the S and HO stuff.  MTH is still using the unsold tooling.

Hello Paul,

I hope you see this. Is there a nomenclature difference so that when I go to a store's website, that I know the car is Atlas O versus Premier? I used to be able (and probably still can) to tell Trainman versus Atlas O Master by the model number where Trainman would start with 200___ and the Atlas Master would begin with 300____.
