For an MSRP of $150, it would be safe to guess that there is only 1 car, not a 2-pack. The product numbers could be misleading like when Atlas did something similar for the very first run of the Maxi-IV, 3-unit intermodal cars.

I just hope that the 2nd Quarter release date is achievable. I reserved few of these when they were initially announced over 2 & 1/2 years ago in June 2019. I call Atlas every quarter asking for an update, most recently last week, the day before Thanksgiving and they still couldnā€™t estimate the delivery date. All they could tell me was that it wonā€™t be shipped in 2021.

I used to get annoyed by the lack of progress with these cars but I am getting desensitized. I remember calling Atlas before the COVID pandemic slowed logistics and was told that they hadnā€™t even approved tooling for these cars even though the preorder deadline passed 6 months prior.

These are just my opinion,

A question on the Master O Horizon Comet Passenger Cars:

For the coaches, they are listed with two road numbers on a single product number.  For example, Atlas O 3007023A lists numbers #6142, #6145.  Its unclear if this indicates a two pack, or something else.  Can you clarify?

There are two individual cars - order 2 to get both road numbers.

The reason for the 12/10 cutoff date on the orders... they are extending the existing PO, and after that, they'll be ready to go.

It is unusual for there to be a SIMPSON timber company ALL-DOOR box car offered just after the Arcade & Attica SIMPSON timber company ALL-DOOR box car was just released.

Andrew

You nearly gave me a heart attack.... I thought I somehow missed something with Arcade and Attica on it!  Alas it is actually Acata and Mad River šŸ˜”.  I wish Atlas or a dealer would do Arcade and Attica 44 tonners

Indeed, I am an Arcade & Attica fan and shareholder and am waiting for someone to commercially release their 44-tonners. I doubt it will ever happen. If it does, though, I will include it on my online listing of all A&A commercially released models: https://dandhcoloniemain.blogs...e-arcade-attica.html

Although it says it will operate on 031 tracks, I'm guessing the Atlas Premier F40PH is not a Hi-Rail Wheel engine.  Will they make Hi-Rail versions?

Im sorry but where are you deducing this from? The O.P. clearly states;

"Almost all items offered in 2-Rail and 3-Rail versions.

Expected ship dates in 2Q2022"

There is a 3 rail version [which is hi rail] and a 2 rail version [for scale 2 rail].
