The photo is compelling, but the context is missing from both the caption and the article.

This is about a Japan-based manufacturer opening a facility in Pennsylvania for what appears to be simple injection molding, a process that is also used for molding the plastic shells in our rolling stock. But there’s no mention of the Atlas car in the photo. Such a car would require specialized design and tooling, which is the real trick for our models.

I’m assuming that the Atlas car is included in the photo merely because it is a Reading & Northern model, a nod to the railroad CEO pictured on the left. While that may be the only reason it’s in the photo, it does make you wonder if they realized all the implications of including an injection-molded product in an article about an injection-molding manufacturer.
