2 rail cattle cars, easy enough to repaint and re letter.  No interest in in up grading the  E8 to scale and the rest are too modern Atlas needs to wake up and smell the coffee

I know there are a fair number of people who are very excited to see more modern stuff available again. I'm sure that upcoming catalogs with contain more of the items that you will be interested in.

I am very happy to see plenty of modern offerings, my wallet is not. I probably pre-order the 60' hy-cube in NS and DT&I both road numbers for each, the 17,600 gallon tank car in GATX both road numbers, and the 50'6" box car in UP (BKTY) both road numbers and in Guilford (MEC) one road number.

Who knows when any of it will arrive, I still have some 25,000 gallon tanks cars, rebuilt well cars, and some Maxi-IV well cars on order.

Good to see the 60' Berwick Hy-Cubes making another appearance. When they hit the streets, it will be 7 years from the last run. The NS and Conrail versions are definites, while the UP "large letter" version is also up for consideration. Sorry to see they did not include the TTX roadname in this run. It was part of the 2017 release and I snoozed on them and lost out. They are very hard, to impossible, to find today. Also interested in the Amtrak Rapid Discharge Hoppers. I've seen them on occasion, just off of Rt. 95 in Delaware, on my way to JusTrains.

I find ordering new products slightly ambiguous when it comes to delivery dates.  MTH has a clearly superior web portal that indexes and provides a very robust and searcahable database that is intuitive.  Atlas, not so much.  Although we are all a little tired about the supply chain excuse because of Covid production limitations, why can't we see updated delivery dates or even "TBD" instead of a delivery date that is 9 months old.  That way I'm not bugging the vendor once a month.  Now I ordered a Atlas Premier locomotive from the WINTER 2021-22 O PREMIER CATALOG which states a GUARANTEED PRE-ORDER DUE DATE: WEDNESDAY JANUARY 19TH, 2022.  This was probably the first Atlas “Premier” catalog and I ordered my engine on Nov 24, 2022 from an on-line vendor.  I received it on April 4, 2023.  Atlas doesn’t even show projected delivery dates that I can see.  I’m assuming that the vendor orders in bulk on the guaranteed pre-order date so they can sell at a competitive price.  So does that mean it takes about 15 months from vendor order to consumer delivery?  I ordered another Atlas Premier Diesel from the Spring 2022 catalog with a guaranteed pre-order due date of June 8th, 2022.  Does that mean I can expect my delivery about September this year?  FYI, I really like my new Atlas Premier engine.

Well...from what I read hear and from the MTH videos, the chips/electronics availability is still a problem, for all the importers (or builders). That said, it's not only the locos that are slow to arrive. Atlas does show a projected date, if you go to the production schedule page - but as you note, those tend to slip by. These days, for Atlas, I'd say close to a year, minimum, after the pre-order deadline (what you called the GUARANTEED PRE-ORDER DUE DATE), and more often 18 months or more. I have lots of Atlas stuff on order.

And right now, all the O items that haven't left China show, at earliest, 2nd Quarter 2023, with one TBA, on the production schedule page.
