I just signed up for their e-mail newsletter for O guage and got my first e-mail today. 5 minutes later, I got an e-mail from them with HO scale announcements - which I did not sign up for.

Does anyone else get the HO e-mail when you only signed up for the O guage one?

The HO Announcements show a new Billboard Reefer.

I wonder what the Western states Santa Fe fans think of the choice for the graphic and color scheme first ATSF PS-4750 Covered Hoppers. I have only seen it on Cylindrical Hoppers.

Andrew,

With blue "Santa Fe" lettering, this scheme is a little different from the one on the cylindrical hoppers, but it is prototypical for this car. These Ga 905 series cars were leased from NAHX from about the late 70s to the mid-90s. (The separate serial number is the NAHX number). It is a less common scheme, but I will pick up one or two.

Why is it that they have the EL 50' PS-1 box car in gray. In 1960 at the merger, FIVE 40' box cars were painted gray. All other EL box cars except the blue General Foods 50 footers of the '70s were tuscan red.
