When replacing a PS3 circuit board in a electric locomotive with operating pantographs, does the factory need to pre load the flash code for these engines, or will any PS3 board work with the down loadable flash code. Replaced a PS3 board in a Swiss Kroc engine and everything worked but the pantographs. It shows it on the DCS remote screen, but no action. Yes the panto switch is on.

Any PS-3 bvoard. Load correct flash and sound file. Panto can be interesting, you have to test the wiring, panto board, and panto motors now. G
Can anyone else load the flash file for pantograph operation besides MTH? So if you order a new board maybe you should get the board for an engine that uses pantographs and later if you decide to swap out locos you could?
For the PS/3 board, you can load the FLASH code yourself, it's in the sound file ZIP for the engine in question. There is no "special" PS/3 board for panographs.
Thanks for the info. Since I have been the only one in the engine, the wiring hasn't been messed with and both motors are unresponsive, I will focus on the pantograph board.
