Ah, thanks, Tim.  I have that truck.  It’s a great model.  I thought you folks were talking about the ice cream truck best seen in kj356’s last photo  — in the back on the left — with the face in it. That’s why I was wondering whether it was a scale Disney-Pixar Cars franchise model, but it doesn’t quite look like it.

Just found it: It’s the I-Screamer and is a Disney-Pixar model afterall. Several on the Bay.

Kj356, great job on the Sinclair tanker! A very fussy kit to assemble, and although I like a more subdued paint scheme, your detail work is fantastic.

This is known as the; Lionel Route 66 Dino Cafe 6-22993 came out a # of years back. I ordered it after finishing my Sinclair tankers and saw it on line and thought it would be a perfect fit, it is sitting in my Radiator Springs village with all Disney Cars movie theme vehicles, fits right in with the town. There might still be one left at the Christmas train store they did have a couple of them. They are closing down and clearing everything out on sale right now; https://christmastrainstore.ca/ In Canadian $'s but when you do the exchange rate you will see it is considerably less in US$ Contact them to see if it is still in stock. They are pricy on e-bay.

Here are some of my recent acquisitions. A Hot Wheels Custom Classics 1/50 Willys, A Spec Cast 1/50 White WC stakebed truck, an Athearn 1/50 1955 F100 and a Menards 1/48 Chevy panel truck. They're posed with my in-progress FOS Scale Models gas station kit build.

Morning guys, you all have some great looking rigs! Sorry I haven't been around for a little while as life took me way from anything to do with trains!

I did get out to the train room yesterday and did a little work and also pulled this tractor trailer out and put it back on the layout. I am sure you all have seen it before, but I sure like it and it looks so perfect for a O gauge layout.

Hi guy, I was doing a little work in the train room and turned around and found Batman had shown up to use the Bat copter!

Menards has a new vintage bus on a flat car that looks nice for the price note on a 10 1/2 inch flat car;

it is similar to the Corgi Flxible Clipper 1/50 scale which are pricy if you can find them now; here is a photo with a Menards 11 1/2 inch flat car. Would look good on the layout and make an interesting repaint project. Looks to be a little smaller then the Corgi bus.

They’re both made by Greenlight collectibles. I purchased them on Diecast Direct site. A bit disappointed in the quality considering the price. For the amount they cost one would think they’d have opening doors  and trunks. Or am I still living with 20 years ago prices in my head?  All and all they’re nice cars.

1955 Cadillac Fleetwood a la Elvis Presley. It looks like a replica of his as it has the spot light on the fender just in front of the driver side mirror. One of his many pink Cadillacs! Nice Model! I too have a model of one of his convertible pink Caddy's on my layout.

I am aware of the Elvis connection, it’s on the box. I think I’m parking it behind Madam Wongs on the wrong side of the tracks for now🤪. Elvis is in the building. I had picked up a boxed set of Downtown deco buildings at a train show. They were called “wrong side of the tracks”.  I still haven’t put much of the ads on them yet.

It's just a large truck and a very small station. I was actually wrong, it's an International Harvester KB truck. They were large trucks for the time, even the 1/50 model measures 20 scale feet long. The station is a little compressed, but I think it does a good job of representing the typical small rural station that would have been built in the 1920s or 30s.

I see what you mean about no opening doors and trunks.  It is easy to be living with 20 years ago prices and any with 20 years ago anything for that matter.

Got these from Fairfield this weekend - nothing fancy, just Motormax 64.5 Mustang, '58 'Vette and '55 Bel Air, but the detailing is nice for such inexpensive models ($7 @). All I did was fill in the 'Stang's rear lights with a little red paint.

Q - does anyone have a source for 1/43 license plate decals ?

OBXTrainman sorry the level of detail was a little disappointing.  I picked up a white '53 Eldorado convertible at Dollar General for $5.  Detailed the interior and added Dwight and Mamie.  I posted it earlier in this thread.

Tom that's a cool Rescue 51.  I also like the NYC flatcar it's riding on.

Mike I've got that Batmobile, from Walmart also, squirreled away in a box.  Did BAtman come with it, I can't remember.

Dollar General loves 1953 automobiles.  I previously posted pictures of an Eldorado, a Chevy and a Ford, all 1953s purchased at DG now I've added this 1953 Packard Caribbean.  I didn't need any more vehicles even if it was only $5 but it's the only Packard I've got.

The Cobra and the T-Bird are ERTL products that came with Dolly's Diner.  A structure from the ERTL American Muscle series.  I believe there were four of these 1/43 scale structures, Dooly's, the Esquire Theatre, a gas station and a drag race with Christmas Tree starting lights.  I've got the Esquire also.

You can be your own source.  Get good photos of what you want and take them someplace where you can have them reduced to the size you want. I use A&E Reprographics locally.  It isn't very expensive.

A man I share interests with even has 1/24 scale package labels made so he can put maps, product packages, etc in his auto models.  He's a multiple prize winner in the area and known all over the country.

Buy a decal kit from Micro Mark.  They have them for both ink jet and laser printers and they work beautifully.  Hint: you can make all sorts of signage including window transparencies.  (I print the windows on overhead projector transparency sheets and just cut an entire window out at one time.)

I do use decal sheets for lots of projects, but 1/43 license plate decals are so small I don't think either my computer, it's program or my printer would be able to create and/or reproduce something that small with a degree of clarity that would be acceptable to me.

Thanks for the tip about A&E - I'll check that out.

I've seen1/24 scale cigarette packs and soda pop bottle labels, both very small.  You may have to shop around for someone who can do the work.  We have three A&Es locally and only one can do that tiny a job, but I can do a lot that isn't much larger on my own ink jet HPEnvy Photo 6255.

Biggest problem I have is scaling them down to start with.  I did a whole raft of book covers for a book store interior.

I have a "more than slightly used":-) Dinky stationwagon and it appears to be a 1/50th model.

Bobby, nice work on your restoration of the Corgi. I love doing that myself, if you look back in this thread you’ll see more than 25 different cars and trucks I’ve done.
