Basic Question On Converting 3-Rail Rolling Stock To 2-Rail

purchase complete 2-rail truck assemblies (from Atlas ?) and change them out. Easy as that? Yes that easy Also you can find them on the bay too.  The process is the same for MTH rolling stock, buy MTH 2r Trucks. I would personally use Atlas O 2-rail trucks on all your conversions, both MTH and Atlas O.  Their trucks are so much nicer than MTH it's not even a comparison. Remove the MTH trucks and use the 2-rail Atlas trucks that come with the mounting screws and ends to do this.  Trust me it's much better. 

If you have a friend that will trade, you can just change out the wheelsets in the trucks.     I have a friend that regularly trades me 2-rail Atlas Wheelsets for 3-rail.    We both convert our cars much cheaper that way.
