I have the MTH Penn K-4 Torpedo with Proto Sound 30-1118-1. If I pull the original battery (Which sounds didnt work) and put in a 9V battery the sounds work. If I put in my BCR the sounds don't work. I think there maybe an issue with the charging system. Does anybody know if this can be fixed or do I need to replace the entire board or part.

The BCR could be bad. It does happen, When you put the BCR in did you charge it for a minute at 10 to 11 volts first. I have put in a number of BCR's and have not hit a bad one yet.............Paul
Along with Paul 2's suggestion above, I think I would try a known good BCR first, before replacing boards. Could save you some money.
Yes this is the second bcr I have tried as well as a mth battery. It seems that it is not getting track voltage. I guess I can use a meter on the battery connections to see if they have track power?
Starting to sound more like the electronics then. One of the MTH ASC Techs here might be able to help with the electronics part. Forum member GGG (email is in his profile) does component level repairs. That is, if it's at all possible to do on the particular board that is bad. He's highly thought of around here too and posts here regularly as well.
Sounds like the bottom board has a problem. GGG is your man, loves to work on PS/1.
