L&N doodlebug progress. I added all the vents and stacks. The large fan housing is the brass from a 12 gauge shotgun shell and the headlight is a 38 special case. I couldn't have built it without some ammo. Since I have taken the photos I have move the bell and h/l higher on the roof. I need to finish the fan housing and add the h/l bulb/wiring and then off to the paint shop.

How will you get the roof to sit flush with the sides?  Curious if you're just using glue at the seam or if you're building some sort of stanchions on the sides that will hold a screw that is screwed into the bottom of the roof.

The roof will pull down to the body with screws. I have enough reinforcement to keep it all straight.

[EDIT:] Two more questions!  To make the rivet strips…what size pounce wheel do you use and how do you keep the wheel going perfectly straight down a row?

I use a riveting tool set I purchased from Walthers years ago. I don't they carry it any longer and I do not remember the brand. I use a steel ruler.
