On the 28th of December I sent my Nickel Plate back to Lionel via the prepaid UPS shipping label they sent me.  The smoke unit fan motor had died and I called to get an RA number for warranty repair the day before.  Today I received notice that Lionel had received the engine.  Now we will see when they notify me that they are shipping it back fixed.

Yesterday I called Lionel's service center about a Legacy engine I was having trouble with.  They told me that they only do warranty work from now until usually early March so non warranty repairs were not being accepted at this time.  It shows the Christmas season is still when lots of toy trains are sold so they are inundated with warranty work.

I do hope I get it back home soon as I have a train show to take it to January 16th.
