I have finally had the chance after moving to set up a test track and run my recently purchased Berkshire Legacy engine, and am pleased to report that it runs and sounds great even in conventional mode. This in my view is one of the best engine values. For now the passenger cars are from the Empire set I recently bought used. Mike

Good to hear that you are happy with your new Berk. I have been watching your posts with interest. You seem to be very enthusiastic about your venture into S gauge. I think this is great, I only wish we had more guys in the gauge that could have as much fun as you are having.
Ray. Very kind. Thanks very much. I do enjoy this great hobby. the many friends we have made, and like many others, have fond memories of playing trains with my Dad (and sometimes my younger brother).
The quality of the products (overall), the variety, and the technology is wonderful. Very blessed to have my old trains, and the resources for new ones. Also am lucky to have joined a club (with multiple scales) with experienced and gifted modelers, to learn much. Really enjoy our club's Open Houses letting young children and those young at heart to run trains. Their enthusiasm and energy is infectious, in a good way. Best. Mike
