I see two possibilities. TRAIN LOFT AND LITTLE CHOO CHOO SHOP. Anyone had a good or bad experience with either?

I have never been to the Train Loft, but have had James at the Little Choo Choo Shop do some repairs on a couple of locomotives. All good experiences.

If you can dare to venture one state north, the very best (IMHO, of course!) is George Galyas (sp?)(GGG) in Chesapeake, VA. He has been a MTH authorized tech for several years.
I believe you'd get a lot of forum support for this recommendation!
His conversion of a PS-1 F3 set to PS-2 for me was awesome and highly professional. So far I've been very fortunate in the performance of my MTH engines, but he'd be my go-to.

James at the Little Choo Choo shop in Spencer has done quite a few repairs for me. Never any problems with his work.
